Reading the forecast
The projection is a straight line through your last eight weeks, not a promise.
Every trend chart ends with four projected weeks. Here is how to read them honestly.
Steps
- The projection fits a line through the last eight uploaded weeks and extends it four weeks.
- A rising line means the last eight weeks rose; it knows nothing about next month's weather or staffing.
- With fewer than three uploaded weeks the projection repeats the last value.
- Hover the note under the heading to see the method spelled out.
Good to know
- Use the projection to spot a slide early, not to set a quota.
- Upload every week so the eight-week window stays current.
